Christmas day at The Brophys was such fun! And what exceptional food and drink we had... Roast turkey, ham, roast potatoes, veg, Yorkshire puds all homemade and just WOW amazing - especially with 10 of us to feed!! Secret santa was entertaining, you could pick what present you wanted and then people could steal it off of you, which is great fun BUT I am not sure I will get over having someone steal my mermaid blanket haha! Wine and cuddles with Chewy again was fab as well as Cards against Humanities... the only downside was that it was Monday the next day with a bit of a headache; but it was worth it and hey, only 4 teaching days left till we break up!! Thank you Brophy's <3

Saturday night was our Christmas Eve when friends living in town hosted in their flats behind (nearly) 12 doors lots of Christmas fun! A brilliant night with a HUGE thanks to everyone for having us; what a great way to enjoy our last Saturday here in Guangzhou before heading back to the UK.
Enjoying a lovely catch up with these ladies over a few happy hour glasses of wine and scummy food at Social and Co. Monday's should always start this way!! First Christmas film watched over a take away :-) It is starting to feel a bit more Christmassy!! Just when you think you are getting more used to China life, you see this lid on the metro and a guy who just decided to snooze mid way down the road! Then this little cutie pie is a friend at works puppy, Chewy, who was having a staycation at The Brophys and of course... we had to go for Friday cuddles. He is the cutest little thing ever and I am hoping it has helped persuade Matt that a dog would be a lovely addition when we come back to the UK haha!!
Enjoying the morning after in style...and still sunny in the twenties in December! Taking advantage of not having fixtures this weekend and needing to do our Christmas shopping, we booked into the Sheraton for a night away in the centre of the city. It is in the Tianhe district and super close to the football stadium and also a lot of good malls. Lunch was at a new find in Teemall (an entrance actually goes into the Sheraton which is great)! Deli and Leisure had a wide selection on the menu and was very popular with the locals. I enjoyed the funky decor and the variety of fruit tea you could get!! The pool area is much better than The Westin as there are no buildings obstructing the sun and it is a much larger area of sun loungers and pool. We spent the last of the sunshine up here and I still can't quite believe it is December and I am in a bikini in the sunshine in the place I now live - CRAZY!
Our weekend continued exploring the area which we thought we knew quite well; however we found a huge underground fashion mall which was a whole new world with a tram going through it and everything!! Most of all a weekend spent enjoying a break from work, spending some lovely time together, and enjoying the sunshine :-) ... and shopping some more!!
BSG Staff party - woo! A wonderful evening of free flow bubbly and our first proper roast since arriving at the start of August; YUM. The staff band played some great tunes and the DJ was alright too!! Lots of fun was had and so so lovely to get dressed up and have fun celebrating nearly being at the end of term with some absolute BEAUTIES!! The pictures say it all...
