I don't think words or pictures can do this place justice, it was pure paradise and I wanted to enjoy every moment. Whether that was reading in the hammock, sunbathing on the beach, paddle boarding in the sea or having a massage!! There were moments in this trip I could not quite believe I was here; there were people on their honeymoon and there we were just 3 hours flight from our new home on a half term break. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity; I guess there has to be some bonuses to make it easier after packing up your life and being so far away from your family and friends!!

Daluyon Resort, Sabang Beach, Palawan

I think the pictures will speak better than I will, but these were the main amenities on site. Apart from the restaurant area which we dined in most nights and had a good range of international as well as Filipino treats. The evening meal was more expensive than the other little places we found along the beach, but was of a higher quality and still cheaper than dining out in the UK for two.

The Beach

The beach was lovely and we enjoyed morning swims after running some lengths of the beach before breakfast - if you know Matt then this is quite something!! It looks quiet in these pictures and I have to say it was SOOO quiet all of the time, the busiest time in fact was around 6-7am when a lot of the locals were swimming and exercising on the beach. Another reason why it was probably quiet in terms of guests was that they were holding the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) 2017 conference at our resort and the one next door. So the rooms were full but the delegates were always off on trips or in a marquee away from us and not on the resort. It did mean that there were a lot of Police, Bomb squad, police dogs around the site; so we felt very safe!!
