My journey. Teaching in China and exploring the world. |
After having noodles from noodle man, noodle lady (yes we branched out/it may be his wife) going to Max's bar nearby and cooking our own food (not often I hasten to add- oh the life!) we needed to venture into the more Chinese looking restaurants nearby. This one was recommended by a member of staff and we were not disappointed. The chef at 'The Home of Salah' actually hand pulls all of his own noodles and you can see him making them whilst you wait for your food and they are really tasty, as you can tell by that cheesy grin below. We will be going back!

After several 6.30 am training sessions and 2 hours coaching after school our U19 Volleyball squads were playing the American International school (our biggest sporting rivals in the area). Their facilities are incredible... a double sports hall (the picture is just one side) so both the boys and girls games can play at the same time. And seating stands all the way around - another level compared to back home and my school now. Unfortunately we narrowly lost, but great to have the first (and toughest) game out of the way. This was quite the spectacle on the journey home, at several points I thought one was going to come through the coach window as the trees nearly knocked the bikes off - only in China! |
