Keeping up the cultured weekend antics in the city, a group of us went to see the touring west end show; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. Ahhh it was fantastic!! I have not been to a play in so long, always seeing musicals if I go to the theatre, so it was a lovely change. The set was so clever, using lights and secret compartments in the set to change scenes as well as great physical theatre and acting. I think the cherry on top, was the cute puppy at the end!! We are going to try and see a few more shows in the run up to Christmas, including Cats, Mamma Mia and Chicago. It is in the Opera House in the park opposite Canton Tower and it is an incredible modern building, so was a treat to go.

After the show there was a huge thunder and lightning storm with torrential rain, so naturally the only option was to go to a nice bar whilst waiting in our taxi queue for over an hour!!
